Here are a few pointers about writing and asking great questions, drawn from Mortimer Adler's classic book, How to Speak, How to Listen:
     •  Good questions are clear about their point
     •  They require a thoughtful reply
     •  They invite the author to share openly
     •  They indicate knowledge of the reading
